Appointment Policy
We recommend that appointments be made in advance so that we are able to accommodate your specific requests.
Arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow yourself time to unwind. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes early for your appointment, if we are with a client we may not be able to accommodate you.
Please be advised that if you are late, your appointment will end at your scheduled time so the next guest is not inconvenienced.
Credit card information is required to reserve appointments.
It is important that every client completes and returns the required Intake and Health Screening forms prior to arriving at their scheduled appointment. These forms provide valuable information regarding a client's health condition, concerns, and goals; so we can create the appropriate treatment plan for the individual and keep everyone healthy.
Cancellation Policy
Due to high demand for appointments, we ask that you provide at least 48 hours notification for any changes or cancellations. Appointments canceled or changed with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to full service charge. Appointments canceled with more than 24 hours, but less than 48 hours, can be rescheduled, but not refunded. Appointments canceled or changed with more that 48 hours notice may receive full refund.
Extraordinary circumstances will be addressed on a case by case basis.
Late Arrivals
Please be advised that if you are late your appointment will end at your scheduled time so the next guest is not inconvenienced.
Prices
Prices are subject to change without notice. Please confirm prices when booking your appointment as our fee schedule may change before our website does.
Gratuities
At Chi Moshi, gratuities are always appreciated but never expected. If you choose to leave a tip, please consider providing it in cash. Cash tips help support our Sliding Scale Program, which provides discounted massage services to those in need. Your generosity directly contributes to making massage therapy accessible to more members of our community. Thank you for your kindness and support!
Payment Method
You can pay the entire invoice in advance online or use a credit card to hold an appointment with 50% of the service price and pay cash on the day of your massage treatment (this option is not available to new clients). We accept Cash, Applepay, Zelle, PayPal, Debit and Credit Cards.
We do not accept checks.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are redeemable for services only. Chi Moshi cannot be responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. To preserve the harmony and serenity our guests expect, services may be denied at the discretion of the management. Gift Certificates can be purchased online or in-person.
Gift Certificates are not refundable but may be exchanged for service credit. We are not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Certificates. Appointments canceled or changed with less than 24 hour notice will be subject to full charge of service, which will be deducted from the gift certificate.
Gift Certificates can only be transferred between recipient and purchaser. "Packaged Experiences” cannot be split up and should be enjoyed on the same day. Purchased gift certificates never expire*, but do revert to cash value after one year of purchase. *Donated Gift Certificates expire 1 year after the issued date.
Electronics Devices
Here at Chi Moshi Inc. we try to create a tranquil and peaceful environment. This helps sooth your mind and relieves you from all the anxiety and stress associated with your daily life. As a result, we request you turn off your cell phone or switch it to silent mode in order to maintain our environment.
Confidentiality
We gather various personal information in order to optimize treatments, and make visits go as seamlessly as possible. All personal information you share with us will remain confidential. Your information can only be shared with a third party, if you provide written permission.
Parking/directions
Due to us being located in a mainly residential neighborhood parking is not always available. It is recommended to give yourself an extra 20-30 minutes to find parking or to arrive through public transportation. We are near the BK38, BK25 & BK26 buses and the G & C trains, 8 min. walk from Atlantic Terminal. Should you commute on your bicycle, please lock your bike on the inside of the gate of 148 Lafayette Avenue. Please do not block the gate or door from opeing and closing.
Clothing & Modesty/Nonsexual/Draping
Please come dressed in comfortable and appropriate clothing. Clients will always be draped appropriately, with each body part being exposed only when being worked on.
Food/drugs/alcohol
For safety it is recommended not to eat within an hour of one's appointment and not to come under the influence of drugs/alcohol; this includes wine, beer, cigarettes, weed, and over the counter painkillers. If one took painkillers prior to arriving at their appointment, please inform your massage therapist so that the massage can be adjusted accordingly.
Oils/lotions/allergies
Due to the oil and lotions used here please inform us if there are any allergies or sensitivities prior to one’s appointment
Communications
To ensure you get the service you expect, please communicate with your therapist the treatment, pressure you prefer, the technique you like or dislike, and your medical history. The more information you provide the better your experience will be. We are here to serve you in your journey of self-care.
